Don and Vicki love to travel and have a passion for Africa and Europe.

We began our writing career after our trip in November of 2002.  We happened to be in Mombasa the day of the Al-Qaeda bombing.

Don was born and raised in Virginia in the Washington DC area.  He received his BA degree in History at Evangel University , Springfield , Missouri , and his Master’s in Counseling at the University of Cincinnati .  Don’s vocation began in tea c hing history and evolved to counseling. For the past thirty-five years, he has been a general building contractor.

 

Vicki was born and raised in the small town of Austin MN, where Spam originated, and then moved to Hawaii where Spam is eaten 8 times more then anywhere else.

Recently she was elected as the President for the Hawaii Chapter of Sisters in Crime and she begins her 2 year term in January 2017.   

 

Radiology was Vicki's profession of choice and spent years specializing her craft in a trauma one alert facility and then moved on into management.  Retired now, she and Don live in Waikiki, where they enjoy the beach, Kapi'olani park and jogging up Diamond Head.

Don and Vicki are committed Christians and live on the rock of Jesus Christ, (whyteontherock) seeking God for even simple daily needs.  They spent a short time in Nigeria as missionaries and firmly believe in contemplative prayer that focuses on listening to Jesus and waiting for His guidance.
