HAWAII BOOK & MUSIC FESTIVAL - Even though we got rained out – we had the most successful HBMF ever. We also made several decisions for future HBMF and similar events. We will wear name badges and leis. It will make us look more official and like the speakers of the even. We will also host 10 min sessions throughout the event such as a short lecture, a reading or anything else we can think of. We did wear badges later in this year’s event and we did get a response from it.
KAUAI CONFERENCE – We will SKYPE with Paul in near future - He will tell us about the conference and benefits for Sisters in Crime members.

SISTERS IN CRIME BOOTH AT THE AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON, DC JUNE 21 – 24.-- Your help is needed. We are going to give a chance to win a Sisters in Crime It’s Raining Books Super Prize to visitors to our booth. (Yes, I was inspired by the Guppy Book Basket at the Malice Domestic Conference.) One lucky librarian will win a shower of books by SINC authors for her library. Will you please consider donating one book to the winning library? Every author who signs up agrees to donate and mail one copy of one book (paperback or hardcover) to the winning library. If you’d like to be part of this, please fill out the webform by June 11 with the title of your book and a jpg of your cover so I can use them in promotion. After the conference, I’ll send you the winning library’s mailing address and you will ship the book. The more the merrier to make this a truly impressive prize! Thank you in advance for your generosity and for your support of libraries. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me.
